World Cup 2022 – Huge Crowds Welcome Argentina after won world cup title
World Cup 2022 :- Argentina’s BUENOS AIRES (AP) — Before what was supposed to be a day of jubilation in Buenos Aires, thousands of fans lined up in the middle of the night to try to catch a sight of the Argentina soccer team that won one of the greatest World Cup finals of all time.
Soon after 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the team, led by captain Lionel Messi, stepped off the plane onto a red carpet that had been set up specifically for them in Ezeiza, just outside of Argentina’s capital.
Lionel Scaloni and Messi were the first players off the plane carrying the World Cup. As they passed a sign that read, “Thank you, champions,” Scaloni put his arm around the captain.
La Mosca, a rock band, sang “Muchachos,” a song composed by a fan to the band’s older song that became a well-liked unofficial anthem for Argentine fans at the World Cup in Qatar, as they welcomed the players.
While waiting for everyone to board an open-top bus to take them to the headquarters of the Argentine Football Association, the freshly crowned world champions could be heard singing “Muchachos,” with Messi leading the way.
Fans, many of them were waving Argentine flags, mobbed the bus on a highway at a snail’s speed, trying to get a look of the players while police sought to keep them at bay.
Messi carried the World Cup the entire time as the athletes waved and even sang to the crowd.
The players were greeted with pyrotechnics at AFA headquarters, which was located around 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) from the airport.
They will spend some time sleeping at the AFA offices before taking a bus later on Tuesday to the Obelisk, which was swarmed with spectators on Sunday when the team won its third World Cup and first since 1986.
Tuesday was designated as a national holiday by President Alberto Fernández so that the people may celebrate the win.
Many people kept a careful check on the aeroplane that returned the players home to celebrate the day after the Sunday victory, when the streets of Argentina were transformed into huge festivities. Nearly 200,000 people followed the flight’s progress online as it neared Argentina, and news outlets broadcast the landing live.
People began showing up at the airport and in front of the AFA headquarters in the afternoon in anticipation of catching a glimpse of the team.
A large number of people were already already at the Obelisk, apparently prepared to spend the night there to guarantee a prime location for Tuesday’s events.
Several athletes shared pictures of the flight on social media.
On the plane, Messi held the World Cup. While this was going on, Nicolás Tagliafico published a picture of the World Cup sitting in an aeroplane seat like any other passenger.
Despite earlier rumours that the players would head to Government House, which was offered up for the celebrations, Security Minister Anbal Fernández said that as of early Tuesday morning there were no official preparations for Fernández or any other political officials to participate in the festivities.
With one of the highest inflation rates in the world, a nearly four-in-ten poverty rate, and years of economic stagnation, the World Cup and the success of the Messi-led team have delivered much-needed good news to the nation.
Fernández shared several tweets from foreign leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, congratulating Mexico on their World Cup 2022 victory.
